    Quick answer

The ListingFix Walmart image checker tests a main product photo against Walmart's seller guide: a 1:1 square, a seamless white background, 2200 x 2200 pixels listed, 1500 x 1500 for zoom, and files up to 5 MB in JPEG or PNG. It runs in your browser, and Fix All can correct shape, size and file weight.

Walmart asks for square images on a seamless white background, with 2200 x 2200 pixels listed and 1500 x 1500 needed for zoom. This tool tests your photo against those numbers from Walmart's seller guide.

Your photo is read in your browser and never uploaded. Fix All pads it to square on white, resizes it and compresses it under the 5 MB limit.

    Walmart sizes in plain terms

Under 500 x 500 pixels is the danger zone: Walmart's Canada guide says those primary images are unpublished automatically. Between 500 and 2200 pixels the checker warns, because you are below the listed size and may lose zoom under 1500. At 2200 and above the size check passes.

    Questions sellers ask

What size should a Walmart product image be?

Walmart's guide lists 2200 x 2200 pixels at a 1:1 ratio, and 1500 x 1500 is the minimum for zoom. This checker warns below 2200 on the shortest side and fails below 500. Keep each file at 5 MB or less.

Can a small image get my Walmart item unpublished?

It can. Walmart's Canada Marketplace guide says SKUs with primary images under 500 x 500 pixels are unpublished automatically. The fix it gives is to upload a higher resolution image and send the item through again. Check the rule for your own marketplace.

Does a Walmart main image need a white background?

Yes. Walmart asks for a seamless white background on main images, RGB 255, 255, 255. Light grey or cream can look white on your screen yet still fail, so this checker measures the outer ring of pixels instead of relying on what your eye sees.

Why did my Walmart photo fail the square test?

The checker compares your width and height, and anything that is not 1:1 fails. Fix All solves it by padding the photo to a square on white, so nothing is cropped. If you sell fashion, first check whether a separate 3:4 rule applies to your category.

Does Fix All make a small photo sharper?

No. It can resize a small photo to 2200 pixels, but that only stretches the detail it already has, so the result can look soft. It will pass the size check, yet a new photo at a higher resolution is the better fix.

Do Walmart fashion images follow the same rule?

Maybe not. A seller news report says Walmart moved fashion images to a 3:4 portrait ratio with different minimums. We have not confirmed this on Walmart's page, so check your category before you use this square rule on clothing. The checker only tests the square rule.

Does the checker accept BMP files for Walmart?

Yes. Walmart's guide accepts JPEG, JPG, PNG and BMP and does not permit GIF, and the checker follows that list. A GIF shows as a format failure, while a BMP passes the format check. Fix All exports a JPEG, which Walmart also accepts.

Can Fix All turn my grey background white?

No. Fix All can add white padding around a photo, but it cannot repaint the background behind your product. If the background check still fails afterwards, shoot on white or remove the background in an editor, then run the checker again on that new file.

Is this Walmart image checker free, and is my photo uploaded?

It is free, with no account to create, and your photo is not uploaded. The image is read in your browser and stays on your device, so you can test photos of an item before it goes live on Walmart Marketplace.
